
Founded in 1970 The Weald & Downland Living Museum is the leading museum for the conservation of historic buildings in England. With over 50 relocated buildings covering the 40 acre site they explore the stories of the people who lived and worked in them from 950AD to the 19th Century.

There are working heavy horses around the site, sheep and ducks. There is a cafe serving hot and cold drinks. They also have picnic tables around the Museum grounds to eat your own picnics or food purchased at the cafe and all taps around the Museum provide drinking water so you can refill your bottles. There is also a gift shop.
