You can join Tunbridge Wells u3a using our online membership application form. By submitting this form, you agree to our terms and conditions of membership and our various policies on Privacy and Data Protection as summarised below:
DATA PROTECTION AND PRIVACY
Tunbridge Wells u3a’s lawful basis for collecting your information is legitimate interest and we use and store it securely for the following membership purposes:
- To communicate with you as a U3A member, including sending general information about the Third Age Trust.
- To share with the contacts of the interest groups of which you become a member.
- To assist in the smooth operation of our U3A
Your membership includes direct mailing of the u3a national magazine, "u3a Matters", of which you receive five copies per year. By submitting an online membership application form, you consent to your data being shared with the company who oversee the distribution of the Trust magazine. If you do not wish to receive this magazine, please contact the Membership Secretary.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF MEMBERSHIP
All members must:
- Abide by the principles of the u3a movement.
- Always act in the interests of the u3a and never do anything to bring the u3a into disrepute.
- Abide by the terms and conditions of the constitution.
- Treat fellow members with respect and courtesy at all times.
- Comply with and support the decisions of the elected committee.
- Advise the committee of any change in your personal details.

We use PayPal to collect your membership fee but you do not need a PayPal account to use this and can also pay by debit or credit card.

If you are eligible for Gift Aid and would like Tunbridge Wells u3a to collect Gift Aid on your subscription, please tick the Gift Aid box on the form. A Joint membership category is offered for members who wish to allow Tunbridge Wells u3Aa to claim Gift Aid on the joint membership fee if only one member is eligible for Gift Aid.
