Hollymount Gardens Uckfield

The Out & About group’s trip this month was to a 7 acre garden situated between Crowborough & Uckfield The gardens were open as part of the National Garden scheme, although they do open for groups by appointment.

The garden was created by Jonny & Becky our hosts for the day, approximately just over 7 years ago. The garden looked very well established and the Roses were outstanding especially the pink ones called Your Beautiful. We walked around half the garden then returned to the house , where on the patio we bought drinks and homemade cakes, we were spoilt for choice. After refuelling we explored more of the garden, including the Quarry garden where large Koi Carp swam in the lake. We found a Shepherds hut that had all the comforts of home that overlooked another lake in a lovely tranquil setting. There was also a few Llamas , Pygmy Goats and a chicken coup that had  16 Cockerel’s strutting around quite happily.

The trip was organised by Chrissie Drury & Joan Young.
