Our group members all have a shared interest in wildlife, nature in general and enjoy a walk. Usually the walks are about 3 to 5 miles, but no more. Although many of these walks are very local we do go further a field. Usually we can organise shared lifts to reduce the number of cars travelling to the same destination.

April's walk:
Our walk took us around the Boar’s Head and Eridge areas. The landscape was quite varied with some spectacular views reaching across the beautiful High Weald and as far as the North Downs.
En route we saw and heard birds from sky larks to buzzards with a range of sizes in between! The spring flowers were fabulous with many from the end of the celandines, long lasting primroses and wood anemones to violets and cuckoo flowers. Quite an unusual sighting was the yellow archangel (not the invasive one) which is a sign of ancient woodland. The old drover tracks had amazing tree root formations both sides of the trail.
At the end of this perfect walk we were treated to pear and apple orchards both in full bloom.
To conclude this great walk we enjoyed a drink sitting outside the Boars Head pub in the sunshine!
